Wed. Jan 21st there are two movies Dan and I are seeing:
1.
"Power and Terror: Noam Chomsky in our times" - John Junkerman (7pm - Bloor Cinema)
short synopsis: series of talks by Chomsky gave in 2002 placing terrorist attacks in context of American foreign intervention throughout postwar times in Vietnam, C. America, Middle East etc. (71 min)
2.
"The Corporation" - Michael Moore, Naomi Klein and Noam Chomsky (9:15pm - Bloor Cinema)
short synopsis: award winning movie questions the sanity of an institution with the legal status of a person, but one with no concern for human values. Revealing the corporation's psychopathic personality, the film uses case studies to explore its impacts on our environment, children, health, media and our democracy.. and what people are doing in response.
