Remember hearing about those cashiers in the US that would not accept cheques from government officials without ID? And every comment I heard about it sorta went: "Only in America..." or "Really, how dense do you have to be..." Too bad it took me this long to realize how awesome what they did was. Basically being able to say no to some "all-powerful" figure and really have them not be able to do a thing about it.. talk about activism...
